I’m genuinely confused. If getting rid of it means dumping thousands of jobs and putting thousands of more trucks on the road to transport oil, why do that? Whats to gain from stopping it?

Because they were told to, not realizing it's something they would like if they're so ecofriendly

I mean I just googled it and even lib Justin Trudeau was for it, like what the fuck is wrong with Democrats here.

You ask about politicians? Because their folks will profit from oldschool ways to transport the oil

You ask about Dem supporters? They're dumb faggots that swallow balls deep the propaganda that whatever orange man does or likes is bad

And Trudeau likes the pipeline more likely because it's profitable for Canada (and probably him) and not because of its "ecofriendliness"

They hate it because Donald Trump liked it and authorized it....

Didn’t Obama deny it too?

yes, which is why some people are calling Obiddens presidency Obamas third term. and Obama denyed it because it got a lot of money from the oil shiping industry, always follow the money.

Because they are too stupid to look two steps ahead. All they know is "YAY now oil won't leak into our environment from bad pipes". Ignoring the additional pollution from trucks. The added money we will waste buying it from Syria. And the additional military needs sending troops into the middle east to protect the oil.

Liberals are too focused on single misinformed issues and too lazy to do research.

I would speculate that it is a mixture of the intelligence agencies having held a long term strategy of preserving America's oil reserves while relying on foreign oil, and donors profiting off foreign oil.

American oil = bad.

Foreign oil obtained by war = good!

They believe the are protecting the environment ,all it's doing is getting whatever resource it is from another part of the world that disregards safety entirely, makes us energy dependant and kills thousand of jobs.

Bottom line is they don’t like it because the tv told them not to like it. That’s really it.

The explanation liberal friends have given me for why they don’t like it is that they want green energy not fossil fuels so they don’t want an oil pipeline. I try explaining that we need oil right now, lessening the oil supply doesn’t lessen the demand/usage of it, we still need the same amount regardless of how much is made available. Lowering the supply just makes the price go up which hurts all of us. Doesn’t sink in no matter how hard I try.

the voters think they're helping control the global meteorological climate. in their smooth brains, they think any action that increases the cost of petroleum-derived energy is good because it would make "renewables" more competitive. they aren't thinking so far ahead to realize that the oil will still come on trucks and trains, which is worse for the emissions overall. So yes, it's inconsistent with their worldview and ostensible goals, but they just don't realize.

Because they need something to bitch and moan about. Something they can go and actually protest, like standing rock.. Then trash so much it takes weeks to clean up.

They think stopping it will stop pollution and climate change.

If you stop Keystone XL, the oil will stop flowing.

What they don't realize they oil will be transported in more riskier ways, such as truck and rail.

They hated it since the Obama era but back then it was because leftists wanted clean energy.

Because the globalists do not want America to be energy independent. If we are dependent on Saudi oil again, and the petrol dollar is devalued because the Arabs now accept a "basket of different currencies," our economy will crash much, much faster, and sucks us into global interdependence and therefore submission to NWO domination.

Democrat laypeople: Long term, they want to phase out fossil fuels due to cilmate change concerns. Short term, they worry that transporting products risks immediate environmental harm.

Deep State (keeping in mind that, if US is energy independent, the US has no excuse to go meddle elsewhere): Short term, desire to make war b/c that makes $ and control/allegiances. Long term, plan to stop Russia from establishing pipeline from the Middle East, thereby controlling European energy through Russia. Instead, the Deep State wants to establish the Middle East pipeline themselves (via Syria, Turkey) so they have the $ and control (Deep State is not USA)
