A lot of good people lost their jobs, and these were good paying jobs. Most of the pipeline workers probably didn't even vote for Biden, even though some of their unions backed Biden.

I have also heard that the Canadians have a contingency plan to route the pipeline to the coast and sell directly via Chinese tankers. Some say China desired this scenario and that they influenced the decision. The same source also claimed that Canada needs the income from oil in the west so that they can tax it to provide for their liberals in the east. I personally don't know if this is an accurate representation but it sounds about par.

Exactly. It's a textbook demonstration of how the government uses environmental regulations, and permitting to fuck over competition to the elite. 90% of regulations don't have a damn thing to do with protecting people or the environment.

Buffett's denial, does seem that it would verify this idea: https://www.cnbc.com/2014/03/03/id-vote-yes-on-keystone-pipeline-warren-buffett.html
