It's going to backfire. They lost so many voters in DC after this shitshow. People are pissed. Can't get to work, locked down, passing hateful orders that hurt everyone. People are waking up. We are tired of it.

Exactly! That would require an amendment to the constitution. I believer their actual intent is to take part of the approximate 68 square miles that make up the federal district to make a new state.
