My hubs and I have had it twice - 10 months apart. Just recovering now. It is no joke, but it isn't the thing the media has been playing. All of that hype causes one to lay there waiting for sudden death to desend. In reality, for most people that get hit pretty hard, it is a long slog through days of weakness, feeling like total crap, not being up to doing anything at all for about three weeks, and weird symptoms that don't act the way most colds and flu behave. Oh, and if the medical people would deign to prescribe anything ... but no, they won't.
