If anyone in the Senate cared about facts, this wouldn't even go to trial, it would be immediately dismissed. It doesn't matter how bullet proof the case is, the vote will be purely political.

With Kamala Harris presiding over the trial, there is no chance they will give Trump a chance to present his case for election fraud. The dems will narrowly limit all evidence to focus on his one speech at the capital. These people do not respect the law, why would they give a defendant a chance to present their case? You are correct on all counts except one - the dems don't care if they look like tyrants, they already do. The democrat leadership is interested in only two things - power and money. They don't care what law they break or what lies they tell, or what damage they do to the nation as long as it leads to more power and money.
