I’m aware of the Progressive Party of 1912.

My point is that Nigel Farage and the Brexit party is recent proof (within less than 100 years) that traditional third party thoughts are not the same in today’s technological world. Hell even Ross Perot could have likely won in today’s world. Social media has given a huge voice to third parties with sufficient following that hasn’t existed in our worlds history.

Trump is the Republican Party now. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. It’s the truth. If he can utilize social media well to get his message out, which is a stretch due to the complete and total censoring of him by these companies, then he has the backing to completely replace the Republican Party, plus he would be free to take on traditionally non-Republican views like de-scheduling marijuana, true criminal justice reform, etc.

I agree that fast and instant information can help reach people that are easily manipulated.. But when you own the voices and medium you can do it fast and stomp out reason
