If I recall correctly, despite being blue states, Oregon and Washington have decent gun laws. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re trying to push some bs now though.
I suggest saving up money for a better optic like a Sig Romeo 5 (and moving it back on the upper), ditch the bayonet and get a flashlight. Streamlight protac or the Surefire G2X (with a mount) would be good budget options for lights. You have a 2-point sling, so that’s good. At the end of the day it’s your rifle, so do what you want with it. I’ve had an optic like that which broke just from racking the charging handle. At least you have a rifle, you’re already ahead of a big amount of people 👍
They aren't perfect and there is a lot of room for improvement but yes, all things considered Oregon has pretty good gun laws. Democrats have been trying their best to force gun control down our throats with "emergency powers" but thankfully we have some republicans with a backbone that have been able to hold them off (so far).
