Parler bound themselves to a company that despises pro-first amendment companies. This is a lesson for all other similar companies. Each and every link in the product chain can be targeted from hosting, to cloud services, just about everything.
How would an impartial judge calculate the financial damages Amazon inflicted on Parler. Amazon needs to be broken apart by anti-trust legislation. Break AWS apart from the rest of Amazon.
This is true. Bu what is also true is: how incompetent is Parler to:put everything on Amazon to the point of NOT having source code backup out of the Amazon ecosystem, so they can spin the service on any other cloud provider or otherwise.
It's kind of more complicated, even if outward facing it's "just a website". At Twitters of even at Parlers scale simple things stop being simple anymore. But the point of utter incompetence to not have all of the source code and data backed up off site still stands.
I find it really, really, really hard to believe they weren't using git which, if they use it, creates a clone of their code on every dev's computer. Maybe they're just bullshitting a bit to drive Amazon's maliciousness home.

What kind of an idiot Software team doesn't store their stuff in git? This is more embarrassing than picking AWS as your primary host.
I don't actually believe it (unless they travelled back in time a decade to recruit their tech talent).

Amazon execs deserve helicopter rides.
