It needs to be strategic if it’s done. You can’t actively seek to unseat good GOP members (Mastriano, Gaetz, Boebert) because not all will join. Again, it’s not the whole GOP that backstabbed us.
It needs to start in local areas then build up to state level. If you try running state or federal rep candidates right away, you’re more likely to lose. Local name recognition and trust is key with starting a new party.
If you run for state or federal seats anywhere within the first few years, it should be in heavy Democrat areas, and you need to find friendly ballot counters (very important)
Also, you need a wealth of candidates in each municipality. You need 5+ people running for city council, 5+ for school board, and more. Name recognition is important.
Canvas each city/town to figure out how viable the new party will be firsthand. I fear too many people would walk into this blindly and end up shooting themselves (and the rest of us) in the foot

I hear your argument, but I think a third party would force the candidates to stay the MAGA course: it would be their differentiation from the other parties. All donors would be committed to MAGA. There would be built in incentive to stay the MAGA course.
In trying to vote MAGA candidates into the GOP the establishment will have leverage over them to modify their views. Especially after Trump is out of office.
This situation is very analogous to the creation of the Republican party back in 1854. The existing parties (Whigs and Democrats) were too set in their ways to be changed.
The Main reason for the Formation of the Republican Party was decades of debate over the slavery issue... there was no middle ground... you either had slavery or you did not - and Republicans formed a party to end Slavery. Then fought a WAR TO BACK IT UP.
That formation included JOINING PARTIES TOGETHER - Whig Party (majority) Free Soil Party Liberty Party Anti-Nebraska Party North American Party
THEY JOINED TO FORM A POWERFUL VOTING BLOCK... and after the Party formed.. the other parties did not exist. They 'UNITED' TOGETHER. They did not splinter apart.
The current EGOP problem is no where near as great nor as public, nor 'well formed' in the minds of most GOP voters... as slavery ever was.
But if it gets there... a morphing of the Party would happen and it would include a host of leaders joining the change... NOT just one man. If you had calls for formation of a Third party coming from multiple leaders.... that might change the odds of peeling off 90% of the voting Base...
But I don't see us near that point yet. YET.
The problem is not as you put it the EGOP. It is whether we want to remain a nation as founded in our constitution, or succumb to global socialism. I think that at least as big an issue as slavery. Perhaps you are right that it is not 'well formed' in minds of voters, but that would be even more reason to create a new party: to articulate and advance the idea that we should remain a nation as founded.

Starting a new Party with 50-100 million voters is winning. Heavy vetting, and allowing in zero asshats who backstabbed President Trump.

It needs to be strategic if it’s done. You can’t actively seek to unseat good GOP members (Mastriano, Gaetz, Boebert) because not all will join. Again, it’s not the whole GOP that backstabbed us.
It needs to start in local areas then build up to state level. If you try running state or federal rep candidates right away, you’re more likely to lose. Local name recognition and trust is key with starting a new party.
If you run for state or federal seats anywhere within the first few years, it should be in heavy Democrat areas, and you need to find friendly ballot counters (very important)
Also, you need a wealth of candidates in each municipality. You need 5+ people running for city council, 5+ for school board, and more. Name recognition is important.
Canvas each city/town to figure out how viable the new party will be firsthand. I fear too many people would walk into this blindly and end up shooting themselves (and the rest of us) in the foot

What you call a party is irrelevant. The candidate must believe and do the right things. Creating a new party runs the risk of splitting the ticket.
The party is different everywhere. The Idaho GOP is different than the Wisconsin one. And the party does jack all but arrange funding and marketing. The party decides and votes for nothing. Your candidates do that.
Repackaging a shit candidate does nothing. Not all Republicans are bad, but it’d be better and easier to take over our local/county GOPs.
Making a populist party marketed towards dissatisfied Democrats who despise the DNC but will never vote for us is a better option

They hyper-focus on the federal level GOP without looking at how many states are actually run well. There will always be some level of corruption, but a lot of state GOPs actually do right by their citizens.
A new party will result in corrupt, but salvageable states like AZ being completely lost in the future. You can be pissed about Mitch and all establishment hacks, but the DNC is a far worse of the 2 evils on a local/state level.

At least three State Legislatures sat on their asses collecting paychecks while election officials, et al., ignored State election (and the U.S. Constitution) laws.

A new Party is long overdue.
Some states are better than others. Pennsylvania had like 80+ in their legislature calling for a special session on fraud.
It seemed like the main ones holding up the corrections were the house/senate majority leaders in those states.
Strategic planning would have to be done. People on here seem to think we could just run federal candidates and win off the bat. A new party would need to start out very locally.
Canvassing cities/towns for potential voters, filling up tickets in local elections (5+ city council candidates, 5+ for school board, etc) for party and name recognition. Winning those first, then moving up to state level after receiving enough support, then federal level.
Also super important: We need to get friendly & fair ballot counters

Staties may be OK but we need to start looking at the two parties as part of the same thing. Reform has been tried many times and has failed. The definition of insanity and all that. The GOP is a machine which turns out exactly the kind of candidates it wants.
