he didnt speak up when we needed him to. dont really care what he says now

Orangelightsinwindow [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

He might speak up if he knows his seat is in jeopardy. (I think he knows). The more we show that election integrity is the only issue on the ballot the more it'll come up.

He certified fraudulent electors when (he NOW says) there is massive evidence of fraud. Unforgivable.

-6
Orangelightsinwindow [S] -6 points ago +3 / -9

Yeah, forgivable if he actually does something to ensure states don't send fraudulent electors in the future.

6
RiffFantastic 6 points ago +7 / -1

We can’t trust that if he allowed it once. I don’t care what he says he will do in the future.

knewter 5 points ago +5 / -0

Lol dc and puerto rico will get statehood and conservatives will never win again. Republicans might, but it's time for you to come to grips with the fact that that is not actually any better.

Orangelightsinwindow [S] 1 point ago +2 / -1

I feel like this is exactly what liberals want us saying. Remember the house, governors, and state legislatures all became more republican this election (whether or not you agree that means more conservative). The presidency was stolen, we know that. But if there was one remedy it would be cleaning up state election laws. I agree, if we can't do that before 2022 the country is done. Rand is one of the few taking about it. That's all I'm saying.

1
donald_lincoln 1 point ago +2 / -1

First off, if they rigged the presidential election, got caught, and had zero consequences, there’s no fixing that. Every branch of government is corrupt to the core. Second off, this guy voted to certify the results of the above mentioned rigged election. Now he’s talking tough and you wanna trust him? No, we need to gut the government and rebuild it. There is no other way.

1
Orangelightsinwindow [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

State legislatures, governors, and the house became more conservative this election. Having the election stolen is a crime that will never be punished. But ass hurt won't change it. Very real changes at the state level could clean up elections like they did in Florida and deliver huge wins for conservatives.

1
donald_lincoln 1 point ago +1 / -0

“Ass hurt” is a severe misunderstanding of the situation, and your interpretation is frankly naive. It’s not about “boo boo the bad guys weren’t punished”, it’s about, they have ALL OF THE CONTROL OVER EVERYTHING. The courts, congress, literally everything. Based on state laws at the time of the election, this fraud shouldn’t have been possible. But, they just decided to ignore the laws. You think the people have more control than they do. The Dems have NOTHING stopping them from stealing the next elections, and the next ones, etc. and nothing we do to state and local laws will stop this. How do you not understand this simple fact? We need a lot more than state and local election reform. And state legislatures, house and governors becoming “more conservative” would mean something if there wasn’t mostly a uniparty, and if they weren’t given to us as to appease us and get us to ignore the fact they we have no say anymore.

2
Orangelightsinwindow [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

What you're describing is a very powerful narrative that is false. Elections aren't corrupt in all states and even in states where they are corrupt they aren't corrupt statewide. The stealing of the presidency was not widespread election fraud. It was VERY strategic and VERY targeted. Having a presidency stolen is dramatic, but elections can still be won in clean counties. So you rightfully characterize Republicans as uniparty hacks, no argument. But they're self-interested uniparty hacks. If they perceive that they will not win their next election because the people are only interested in election reform you better believe they will focus on election reform. Rand gets it. Others will too. All I'm suggesting is that we support real efforts for election reform. If it doesn't happen all is lost anyway. But I don't accept the narrative that all elections are rigged. It was very targeted. But all elections will be rigged by 2022 with no action taken soon. They already have a blueprint and the narrative is already taking hold in conservatives that there's no turing it around.

Orangelightsinwindow [S] -1 points ago +2 / -3

True or not he has a seat at the big boy table now and Ron doesn't. Florida changed up their elections. It's possible that if we hold our noses we can do that in the other swing states.

Bit late for that now. The horse has well and truly bolted.

-2
Orangelightsinwindow [S] -2 points ago +2 / -4

Getting awfully close. But doing the hard work of getting state legislatures to clean things up may make this whole debacle worth-while.

6
AmishMachinist 6 points ago +6 / -0

I generally appreciate the fact that Paul votes against all the bullshit bills/stimulus packages/wars. It's nice to have a reliable vote for personal freedom.

Unfortunately we're at the point where just showing up and voting no on a bill that's going to pass 82-18 is no longer enough. I'll support him, but would no longer consider him a viable candidate for president.

0
Orangelightsinwindow [S] 0 points ago +2 / -2

Yeah, I'm not suggesting he should be Pres. (I wouldn't be mad at it, just don't see it happening.) But do everything we can to encourage him to get states to clean up elections. He's one of the few still taking about election fraud.

6
Red888 6 points ago +6 / -0

Too late Rand. It's like trying to stop a murder but it already took place and the murderer is free and not held accountable. Now you want to pretend to stop the next one.

No sorry. The guy did not stand up when he should have. There’s no excuse for that. Doing things afterwards does not change the fact that the most important thing, that which would have made our lives better, has not been addressed: today DJT is not President. Had he been vocal - with others - he might have. Then there would be no need to go trough all of that. These guys are cowards. If there’s one thing we’ve learnt, it is that people should stand up for the people, whether it costs them their reputation or work. That’s being a patriot, and that’s standing for the truth. In the meantime, Rand Paul is still in his cosy little home, he can play politics in his spare time, and enjoy life while we pine away.

Kansityshuffle88 3 points ago +4 / -1

That's cool, he spent the last four doing fuck all so fuck him and fuck the rest of the gop fuck yes Cruz fuck Hawley fuck them all no incumbents are safe next election and that's how it should be

3
SimpleGoy 3 points ago +3 / -0

Stop falling for fake conservatives. Rand Paul did not even endorse his OWN FATHER when he ran against Romney. Rand Paul is not our friend, he is a larper.

Orangelightsinwindow [S] 0 points ago +1 / -1

What's your proposal?

1
SimpleGoy 1 point ago +1 / -0

I suggest that if you love your country, don't ever vote for the republican party again. they hate you. Let them die off. They are corrupt and only keep those that would resist communism and wokeness, ignorant.

1
Orangelightsinwindow [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm fine with that suggestion, don't vote republican anymore. But what action can be taken to fix the country?

1
SimpleGoy 1 point ago +1 / -0

" This all depends on where you are at in your life journey. If you are already successful, making moves to get involved politically may be right for you. Maybe you are not successful though. Maybe your life is fucked up. In that case start smaller. Start by building good habits. Pray. Work out. Gain a skill, and make yourself valuable to your own community. Think about the small steps that will add up to big steps in the right direction." - an excerpt about what I think people should do on an individual level.

https://greatawakening.win/p/11SJtHdcG6/trust-the-plan-but-also-have-you/

at a government level there is no quick and easy fix for this, but only long terms strategies. For one, you should reduce your dependence on their system, to insulate yourself from their rules. For me that means not being dependent on a job for cash/food, as I want to be able to survive if they do not allow me to drive or work for not taking the vaccine, or fine me for wrong think, but the answer might not be the same for you. Churches are often woke and spineless, we need to fix this by getting involved. Same goes for government. Volunteer for unelected positions and run for local office. Sacrifice your fun time. Get away from the idea that you need to have time to relax every day or "hang out". It all really depends on who you are and where you are at in life. You may need to fix your own life before you try fixing the world, but if your life is smoothed out you can make steps towards becoming a pillar in your community.

3
Fignugent 3 points ago +4 / -1

no, fuck off

you don't get to let them take the republic then be all "aww shucks we'll get em next time, guys. trust me"

trust is gone and it doesn't come back

you don't get to fuck us and walk away

2

I agree. I understand and respect his decision to certify. He has done enough to prove himself a patriot, blame the rest of the party not him.

2
wwwchae 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah OP too many people don't realize this, we should unite with the best of them and clean out the worst of them and Senator Paul is far from the worst of them.

3
Orangelightsinwindow [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's all I'm saying. Having the presidency stolen was a BITTER pill to swallow, but state legislatures, governors and the house all became more conservative. Florida changed up it's elections and delivered a HUGE win. If we can do the same in other states we'll see how conservative the country really is.

Democrats know this and want nothing more than for Conservatives to say "never voting again." They're going to go nuts to keep stealing because they know we could have meaningful changes at the state level.

Last chance.

2
TrumpWonByALandslide 2 points ago +2 / -0

In most cases, the problem wasn't related to the election laws on the books. It was lack of enforcement of those laws.

2

FU pussy Rand..You can't clean up your mess shithead.

Before everyone got fat and super Low T, we had principles.

That means you can support the good things someone says and go against the bad things.

Unfortunately, everyone is a fucking hormonal woman these days so it's all about being a child.

1
Quixotic 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, it’s about when they SAY something good vs when they DO something cucked.

Paul has a lot to SAY. But he certified the fraud. So fuck him.

1
Junosu 1 point ago +3 / -2

He has principles - and yes, he is complicated. But he does say what he thinks.
