Ron Paul and Bernie Sanders have both been affiliated with a major and a minor party at different times in their political careers. Having elected officials identify with a new party isn't bad, but running third party candidates in a general election against a Dem and Rep is just gifting the seat to the Dems.

It would take an awful lot of us to top both, but disgust with both parties is at an all time high and climbing.
