Because naturally if they claim they are "White" and are clearly "Brown" they will be committing double sided social suicide. Whites will not accept them, and "X" other culture will not accept them. This of course depends on demographics/regions, etc. This particular thing is one of the rare places you can evaluate there being a sort of sociological problem in our society. This also applies to Black Lives Matter. A lot of Bi-Racial individuals are shunned by Black cultures, unless it benefits them. Similar happens in White cultures and their acceptance of Bi-Racial individuals. I am not by any means saying I believe in the idea of White Privilege, Black Lives Matter, etc. What I am saying is there absolutely are some real problems that plague our society on both an individual scale and a societal scale. I don't want to adopt labels, yet accepting there are real problems and understanding that bias to such problems is not a solution its an accelerant... Meh.
