‘Sen. Rand Paul announced he won’t support the effort to challenge the Electoral College count Wednesday, directly linking the gambit to the chaos that erupted at the Capitol. . . .

‘“I was planning to say I fear the chaos of establishing a precedent that Congress can overturn elections,” the Kentucky Republican wrote. “Boy, was I right. Chaos. Anarchy. It’s wrong and un-American.”‘

It's not going to be popular, but he kind of has a good argument. The precedent set would be abused by the left whenever possible.

However that's a lesser evil than allowing a stolen election to proceed.

So it's an insufficient excuse.

Yeah, he makes a Pensian straw man argument that he can’t overturn the election, but votes to accept electors while apparently under duress. I don’t know how he can talk about the Constitution while certifying fraudulent electors. To make matters worse, he sounds a little like Kelly Loeffler with his falling for this Boomer Capitol Breach.

2 problems these people (Rand, Pence) have: 1.) lack of balls 2.) excuses for lack of balls

The precedent of accepting voter fraud is worse. The honest and just route should be taken regardless of precedent. He had a huge moral and intellectual failing. I think power corrupted him, too long in office. Anyone who truly believes in limited government must also believe in the limit to govern.
