He's self labeling as transgender. A gay man whose mental illness tells him he's actually a woman trapped in the body of a gay man. He can't possibly accept that he's just gay and has severe mental problems. So he invents a new persona that isn't him, a gay man with mental illness, and has to role play until people stop paying attention to him. Then statistically they kill themselves (around 45%).
