I love the line in the article about how they are afraid that they can’t have a message that reaches both sides unless they use menial topics like hope or humor. You’re trying to sell me a product not appeal to my political leanings. That is the problem to begin with. They went political. budweisers best ads were when they were funny, that’s why they’re just running their classic ads now instead of some political bullshit. You shouldn’t be trying to ram a political message down my throat, whether I agree with the message or not, you should be trying to sell me a product, a beer, razors,or a car.

Personally I won’t buy a product unless I see every minority group represented. Need to see a tranny, a few interracial couples, a gay couple. Oh and the white guy needs to be a bumbling idiotic soy bodied fem type.

Unfortunately despite the abundance of meme material there is nothing funny about this situation

not dramatically different than usual, but anyone paying astronomical costs to advertise this year is to virtue signal.

remember when GoDaddy was the edgy newcomer that tried to put some skimpy ladies dancing in a super bowl commercial that the network chose not to air? Now they're the DOJs best friend in performing DNS takedowns?

oh how times change.

They're doing it for the wrong reasons: because no one gives a fuck about football and won't be watching. (But they're blaming the scary horrors of the pandemic, so be sure to wear two masks!)

They don't want their top brands associated with the NFL. They still have the time but will do other things with it.

The Anheuser-Busch move follows a similar announcement from PepsiCo., which won't be advertising its biggest brand, Pepsi, in order to focus on its sponsorship of the the halftime show. (It will be advertising Mountain Dew and Frito-Lay products). Other veteran Super Bowl advertisers like Coke, Audi and Avocados from Mexico are sitting out the game altogether.

This is actually a really good sign. This would indicate they know financial problems are coming for the marxists as the maga economy organizes.

Fixing election laws at the local level and challenging every rhino to a primary is great, and certainly should be part of the effort going forward.

Starving the beast, voting with your dollars even if it costs you a little more or is a little less convenient, THIS is the most affective path to change and retribution.

The article says otherwise...

"Instead, it’s donating the money it would have spent (on it's main product of Budweiser beer) on the ad to coronavirus vaccination awareness efforts."

Pushing lefty propaganda.

"Anheuser-Busch still has four minutes of advertising during the game for its other brands including Bud Light, Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade, Michelob Ultra and Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer. Those are some of its hottest sellers, particularly among younger viewers."

Still advertising normally for all other products.

They are keeping their tops brands away because they dont want to damage them by associating them with the NFL.

Sorry to disagree. They are still going the "woke" route and focusing on COVID COVID COVID.... The article doesn't say anything about them taking a stand against wokeness.

They don't want their top brand associated with the woke NFL. That says it all.

The Anheuser-Busch move follows a similar announcement from PepsiCo., which won't be advertising its biggest brand, Pepsi, in order to focus on its sponsorship of the the halftime show. Don’t applaud these companies. They are run by left wing Socialists who want you to think that they have changed. Given time they will always show their spots.
