Is there any reason why we shouldn’t buy our cheese Chinese shit directly from Bangood or Ali Express? Why not cut out the middle man and go directly to Chinese companies. There not much difference. Both Amazon and these Chinese companies want to destroy American freedom. At least these other companies are not lying about it. Maybe a little inconvenient, slower and the selection won’t be there. Idk. I’m willing to go to great lengths to do shit like this and you should to.

Don't buy Chinese stuff.
Support local artisans. Quality over quantity. I much rather pay more for something I can enjoy longer than just from noon till mid-day.
Same here. But man it is hard to find electronics and cables etc at a reasonable price or even find what your are looking for. Our local Fry’s electronics doesn’t even have a raspberry Pi or a arduino. Sad what online shopping has done to some of these retailers. I enjoy going to the store in person and getting out of the house.
I know, I know - it might not be 100% possible but every little helps. Support local where you can, in the areas you can afford it in and where there's supply.
The shutdowns have only accelerated the issue; lots of small businesses vanish and all the big internet shops thrive and increased their profit. Once it's lifted, people will be so used to ordering stuff on the internet that some shops might not bounce back even if the Chinavirus magically disappears (i.e. deemed to be "not that serious anymore")
I know someone who did that and he found out quickly that ordering direct from Chyna companies, they like to rip off Americans money by not sending the products ordered, but claiming the products were sent and received. Happened several times.
I used ot use Amazon to search for tools, electronics, and camping equipment, but stopped using them when it seemed like every search result returned nothing but results showing what were obviously the same item but sold under a dozen different, really weird and made up brand names. Even aside from Amazon's politics, they screwed themselves and destroyed their own product by allowing the rapid and overwhelming influx of chinese-made crap to muddy their selection's waters.
I think AMZ went for the jugular and missed. We loved the convenience but got off that crack immediately once the censorship started like many others. I know my little paper cut didn't do much but death by millions of cuts. Sure. It can happen.
