Sounds like a lawsuit. A lot of (not most, but a good number) police are cowards, sad to say. They know who will fight back and who won’t. Something similar happened to my family a few years back, before all this police brutality shit was big news, moms boyfriend got shitfaced and pulled a gun on us, husband wrestled him to the floor, we got out, called police, ran to neighbors house, the cops came guns drawn on US, said they’d shoot my dogs (both on leashes) if they didn’t stop barking, (I had to put them in my car) wrestled my husband to the ground and put him in the cop car even though he was cooperating (he was a leo at the time, he had his gun on him), moms leech (she tried getting him to leave several times) passed out in the house. He didn’t get arrested just told him to leave. She tried getting a restraining order against him and it was denied. We live in a solid middle class community with hardly any crime, they didn’t know how to act. Probably the most action they’ve had in a long time. It’s horseshit but many are not trained properly at all.
