Remind me, but was this the same mayor who was caught covering up the lack of covid deaths to keep restaurants and bars closed and raise taxes? Seriously asking, think I heard this somewhere.

Yes. It was leaked in emails.

Yes. There was like less than 10 cases attributed to bars/restaurants, and thousands attributed to construction. There was some text or emails between cooper and his PR machine about how to phrase the bar/restaurant thing and basically it boiled down to don't mention the numbers, just mention that bars/restaurants are super spreader areas. And they did nothing to halt construction.

And our property taxes went up 34% last year. This is on top of a metro city council planned Metro Water hike that was shady as fuck. They billed it as you probably won't notice. But if you have a sprinkler system, or even regularly water your lawn, or certainly if you have a pool, your water bill in the spring, summer, fall went from usual 40-70/month to 300-400/month and that is no exaggeration. In some cases the water bills went up drastically even when nobody was living on the property so there definitely some shady issues with it too.
