Wait.... now they are pretending to be the "good guys"?

Fuck them all.

DonJr2032 45 points ago +45 / -0

These POS companies should only make commercials that are advertising their products and focused on their products.

They shouldn't make commercials telling us how to think or feel. They shouldn't make commercials telling us we're racists or guilty. They shouldn't make commercials promoting men pretending to be women.

GlacialSpeed 57 points ago +57 / -0

They're not buying ads because no one watches football any more.

Go woke get broke

-10
DonJr2032 -10 points ago +3 / -13

Not really true. Lots of people still watch it, especially the superbowl.

29
Tcrlaf1 29 points ago +29 / -0

This is going to be the lowest rated Superbowl since the 70’s.

3
DonJr2032 3 points ago +6 / -3

Likely so, but that doesn't mean millions won't be watching.

9
DrSonicScream 9 points ago +9 / -0

Especially since Tom Brady is making an astounding 10th Superbowl appearance.. I'll skip it... but many wont.

6
booblitchutz 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yes and millions fewer than last year, which was millions fewer than the year before.

Imagine, if you will, having a time machine where you could go back and correct one big mistake. Not sticking to a simple policy of "All Players Quietly Stand For The Anthem" would be that mistake for the NFL.

They gambled.

THEY LOST

3
Trump2024 3 points ago +3 / -0

But millions less than the very recent past when they started openly hating straight white America loving men.

7
GlacialSpeed 7 points ago +7 / -0

Some, but peak football has passed.

Lefties hate sports and team competition and they've alienated their base with the woke shit

4
midoridesu 4 points ago +4 / -0

If you're watching TV you're being told what to think and how to feel. That shit is designed to control you. Sports and all the other bullshit time wasters are to keep morons preoccupied so the government can raid the coffers.

24
WishdoctorsSong 24 points ago +24 / -0

Maybe they're claiming that, but I suspect the underlying reason is far more basic: CBS paid through the ass for the super bowl years ago before BLM was a thing, they need to keep prices high for ads to get their money back. However thanks to the hand egg joggers little social justice temper tantrum nobody with money actually wants to watch the super bowl, so the ROI simply isn't there for Pepsi and Coke.

19
daveyistheman 19 points ago +19 / -0

Not to mention, good luck creating a funny memorable commercial with today's SJWs.

6
vote_for_MAGA_2020 6 points ago +6 / -0

That’s my thinking. It’s not that they are worried about offending anyone (lord knows they’ve never given a shit about offending conservatives). It’s all about the money.

2
booblitchutz 2 points ago +2 / -0

If I were CBS, I'd sue the NFL for deliberately alienating the audience. Surely the contract between CBS and the NFL has some clause about the NFL grossly mismanaging the league and causing people to stop watching in droves.

I wonder..

4
daveyistheman 4 points ago +4 / -0

My thought exactly.

3
FredWinston2.0 3 points ago +3 / -0

They are still buying ads but not for “budwieser”. Just all the other crap drinks they sell. They are playing both sides and folks that only read headlines will fall for it.

3
entwickelnden 3 points ago +3 / -0

theyre giving the money to pro vaccine ad instead. read the article.

6
GenericInsult 6 points ago +6 / -0

So they traded one retarded cause for another. Got it.

3
entwickelnden 3 points ago +3 / -0

exactly. theyre still playing the game they just think it will placate us.

31
TruthyBrat 31 points ago +31 / -0

What is this "Super Bowl" of which you speak?

A superb owl that is worthy of attention

2

I defecated in my super bowl.

Only sport that might have some staying power is baseball but even they are suffering. Fans are not patrons for politics. They are there for quite the opposite; to escape it. Why we have to keep learning this lesson over and over I do not know. NFL knew this would happen because it already happened last time. Looks like they let everyone virtual signal to the tilt, get it out the way, pull everyone through the clown tent then kicked it over. Well it's not over. We are pissed for having to enter the circus. Not going through this again. Millions are done with all of it.

28
DonJr2032 28 points ago +28 / -0

MLB opened their season with BLM crap and everyone kneeling. Fuck that shit

6
FlyinHeadlock 6 points ago +6 / -0

Agree. I'm done with all of it and I was a big patron. Just invested in my own high dollar oasis in the backyard. Hotub, pool, bar, grill area. Went all out. Fuck it. Only thing I might attend is WWE. Went for the first time in 2020 before shit hit the fan. We all had a great time.

3
FuckYouAsWell 3 points ago +3 / -0

Don't shy away from ufc!

3
DonJr2032 3 points ago +3 / -0

WWE is great to go to in person.

It's really shit watching it on TV with no fans. Just doesn't work

13
NeoDragoon 13 points ago +13 / -0

Maybe you haven't heard about the fact that the MLB was one of the groups that pressured Cleveland Indians ownership to first drop Chief Wahoo, and then announce that they will change their name.

NO sport is immune from the bullshit.

5
Ifififokiedoke 5 points ago +5 / -0

Fucked up thing is, the majority of the natives I know liked the Native teams, bought their jerseys and shit, were proud.

Its ironically white women/xirs taking this away from them.

8
CanadianTrump 8 points ago +8 / -0

hello out there, were on the air, its HOCKEY night tonight.

nah im not watching currently cause im lockdown so why should those cunts get to play if I cannot. They are not my superiors

3
booblitchutz 3 points ago +3 / -0

Baseball is the worst of them all. They threw away their audience when the teams started signing exclusive contracts to Regional Sports Networks. They've been spiraling in the bowl ever since.

16
Tilethewall2 16 points ago +16 / -0

Wow, Budweiser...lol, that's hilarious.

10
[email protected] 10 points ago +10 / -0

Too bad. I was really looking forward to hearing about the pay gap.

2
booblitchutz 2 points ago +2 / -0

What pay gap, bigot? Are you implying there is a space between two things? Implying there isn't an infinite spectrum of genders upon which we are all generously sprinkled like pearly drops of genetic material?

Get fucked chud!!1

14
eddedandedamame 14 points ago +14 / -0

Probably because of viewership, which means this would only be an indirect result of the politics.

12
DudePlayingaDude 12 points ago +12 / -0

Yay. But do what I do and brew your own. It's legal and tastes hella better with more kick than the lame ass shit that's out there. You'll make awesome friends!

6
Witchstone 6 points ago +6 / -0

Plus it's not that hard, just requires patience. Making mead is easy too, just requires waiting.

5
DudePlayingaDude 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yes. and Noooooo. Worst. Headaches. Ever. lol

10
Clayton29 10 points ago +10 / -0

Pepsi is still doing the half time show

3
TommyLasordasBallBag 3 points ago +3 / -0

Pretty sure they're contracted to through 2025.. which means they've already spent that money

9
goodguy 9 points ago +9 / -0

because they know hardly anyone is going to watch the game

9
sad_clown2 9 points ago +9 / -0

don't buy into the hype they care. they just not putting money into the super bowl since no one watches it and the ads are too expensive.

They will just put their ads on youtube and websites since they get traffic and cheaper ads.

6
Cuzyoudbeinjail 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's the Budweiser beer itself not Inbev. They are still advertising bud light and bud seltzer etc. They are virtue signaling for the quote about the ad council. That's all. They will be still spending millions, aaaand millions on commercials.

2
hloblart [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Bud Seltzer? This first I've heard of such nonsense.

6
booblitchutz 6 points ago +6 / -0

That's because you're not a faggot.

2
Cuzyoudbeinjail 2 points ago +2 / -0

If you would read the article to the end you'd already know.

Cuzyoudbeinjail 1 point ago +1 / -0

They are still buying ads, just not for the Budweiser brand.

3
Jmricht 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes! Budweiser. I wouldn’t share my horses either.

3
ModernDayMao 3 points ago +3 / -0

Seriously the NFL bowed to a couple players throwing tantrums and the lefty establishment and alienated all their fans. They are just stupid it’s why we call them libtards.

3
FredRedd 3 points ago +3 / -0

At this rate it's going to be "This year's superbowl is brought to you by... Nike"

3
ppalgansaek 3 points ago +3 / -0

"Budweiser will give the money it might have spent on running a Super Bowl commercial to the Ad Council, an industry coalition that produces and places public-service announcements, to help raise awareness of the benefits of getting the coronavirus vaccine."

Knock yourself out. I ain't buyin'!

3
mfinlay04 3 points ago +3 / -0

There's a super bowl? Never heard of her

3
blinddoggy 3 points ago +3 / -0

Molson-Coors donated to Trump's campaign, just so you know.

3
John2500 3 points ago +3 / -0

Why advertise a ratings disaster?

2
Fox19 2 points ago +2 / -0

Pepsi still sponsoring the half time show though, saw the ads for it Sunday

2
BettyBlue76 2 points ago +2 / -0

I hate “professional sports”. Isn’t it all fixed anyway?

2
DearCow 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is where those cocksuckers try to get us back as their customers.

2
Locs195777 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ain’t nobody watching that anti-AMERICAN BS!

2
Choppermagic 2 points ago +2 / -0

just virtue signalling to push the vaccine instead of spending money on ads to a dwindling audience

2
booblitchutz 2 points ago +2 / -0

I love how Variety is couching it as "because of the pandemic".

Oh people aren't buying Budweiser, Pepsi and Coke "because of the pandemic" or are they not staying home and watching football "because of the pandemic"?

Literally neither of those makes any sense!

2
Dictator_Bob 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is a start, it is not enough, we must continue to look at the economics behind our daily lives and cut out the corporations that have fucked us. Buy local brew, and pick up a good soda syrup recipe + seltzer. Serve with lime.

2
PepePinochet 2 points ago +2 / -0

Womp womp

2
Marina 2 points ago +2 / -0

Awesome

2
muddobber 2 points ago +2 / -0

I quit watching afrikan football 2 years ago. Ungreatful bunch America hating bastards . Hating America but not enough to give all the millions of American dollars I guess.

2
FredRedd 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hahahahhahaha!! It's going to be a beautiful thing when we find out that the Puppy Bowl beat the Superbowl's ratings!

2
DudeNoOne 2 points ago +2 / -0

This just fills me with such fucking joy

2

This decision will get them more publicity than if they had run ads. Genius.

2
strictly1957 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hilarious news! Think the message may be sinking in yet boys? Hahahahahahaha!

2
Dan85smith 2 points ago +2 / -0

1
RPOZ28 1 point ago +1 / -0

I won't be watching, but this is a good thing. They may not agree with us, (then again, they may, but sold their souls), but they realize we are voting with our dollars. As long as it hurts the NFL, and the networks, I love it.

1
HockeyMom4Trump 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hmmm...weird how when everyone is stuck at home and there is little out there for entertainment that Super Bowl commercials would not be huge this year. Wonder what is going on? Could it be the NFL is hurting for viewers? Seems the advertisers don’t think it is a good investment...

1
Jmricht 1 point ago +1 / -0

Except Pepsi puts weird shit into their recipe.

1
D-Pew 1 point ago +1 / -0

Right, so they just sponsored the Take a Knee , BLM and One Year of Riots -- all in all 4 years of tearing America apart .

Draw your own conclusions .

1
TheMAGAlorian787 1 point ago +1 / -0

They’ve canceled themselves before the insane leftist mob does. It’s hilarious.

1
Jmricht 1 point ago +1 / -0

Pepsi and Coke are the same company. 26 weeks you get the end cap. Other 26 weeks are mine.

1
CynicalTwit22 1 point ago +1 / -0

This isn't the whole story. If you watch the Super Bowl you will be browbeaten to take the vaccine. Watching the game on mute. Gotta see if Brady gets number 7...

Some of the most memorable super bowl ads were by those three. The SuperBowl will look we even more if it's essence without them
