The suits against the lawyers for representing their clients are SLAPP suits, and the money damages are huge.
“Dominion’s defamation lawsuit for $1.3B will allow me to investigate their history, finances, and practices fully and completely. The amount being asked for is, quite obviously, intended to frighten people of faint heart. It is another act of intimidation by the hate-filled left-wing to wipe out and censor the exercise of free speech, as well as the ability of lawyers to defend their clients vigorously. As such, we will investigate a countersuit against them for violating these Constitutional rights.” – Rudy Giuliani
Without getting too technical, damages in defamation actions are presumed in most jurisdictions. The plaintiff doesn't have to prove damages at all. Now, how you value those presumed damages is another issue altogether, but a jury has a lot of leeway in that regard.
So I have one question in these Dominion suits.
Don't they have to suffer some kind of damages for these suits to go forward?
Where have they been damaged? Nobody has cancelled their contracts or replaced the machines to date.

Thank you for the insight and the highlight. Never knew there was an acronym for this.
