“It is another act of intimidation by the hate-filled left-wing to wipe out and censor the exercise of free speech, as well as the ability of lawyers to defend their clients vigorously. As such, we will investigate a countersuit against them for violating these Constitutional rights.”

I think it is CRITICAL that the United States gets rid of these machines. Yes, the other criminal fraud should've stopped the certification in it's tracks but it didn't.

And replace them with what? Different machines? (honest question, not trying to be rude or anything) Because like you, I don't trust anyone to protect and preserve the sanctity of my vote. Which is why I actually favor as much "impartial" machine involvement as possible. The problem is we seem to be utilizing 1/10th of the tech we have available to handle this properly.

Unless and until we get a pervasive and comprehensive monitoring system in place (video + audio) of the entire "life of a ballot" process that is open and freely accessible to the public, I also have MAJOR concerns of a "hands-on" solution involving people.

A casino card game has more security and oversight than our votes.

I think we should do like Canada and require paper ballots and strict auditing. That'll never happen, though.

S 1540 had a number of those provisions in it including:

  1. mandating paper ballots with by hand (via ocr) counting and audits.
  2. mandating all voting equipment be manufactures in the US
  3. in case of audit conflict, hand counted paper ballot wins
  4. lots of funding stuff....

I think it died in committee... But that was in 2019 when it wasn't a big of a deal as it is now...
