This very much depends on how they're making the adjustment. They are more than likely tracking a tally separately from the data on each individual's likes, and the tally is what's displayed. The reason for doing it this way is performance - it wouldn't make sense to go count up all the votes again every time they show a video to somebody, so instead they show the tally. It's entirely possible that all they do is tack a modifier onto the tally, or adjust the tally itself. But that adjustment could also be reversible if the number of dislikes decreases. They may not have that much foresight, it's entirely possible it could go negative.
What happens if they delete a ton of dislikes then we go back and un-dislike it. Would it go negative?
Inception level bulshit right there.
Negative Downvotes 🤡🌍
Maybe it would wrap around to the maximum value
Naw, your dislike would get removed, you wouldn't get the option to un-dislike it. It's as if you never voted in the first place.
