The point is that you can fight more effectively if you aren't fighting forces both inside and outside your organization.

And you will never be able to effectively organize within the confines of the existing republican party as it is already organized, and organized by bureaucrats who would love nothing more than to see you living in a pod, eating bugs and serving them forever.

In order to do what you propose, you would have to take over every single position in the GOP across all municipalities, counties and states. Both rank and file and management. That's just not going to happen.

But a third party involves doing that from scratch, how do you not see that that is impossible. It's suicide. Look at the Greens and the Libertarians, they've been at it for decades and they have nothing to show for it. And those are the two most "successful" third parties, there are dozens that you have never even heard of.
