The only thays kept the two big parties together is the threat of splitting the vote.
If one side is forging votes, that no longer matters.
Remember that the democratic party, more than the conservatives, is a coalition of competing interests.
Do you really think the gays and the welfare dependents have much in common? What about the health care workers and the latin socialists?
If we can get into an indian style congress with a dozen parties forming coalitions, it wont matter if they stuff the ballots in 5 districts. They still wouldnt get a majority.
We can save the country and fix our election rigging by splitting the GOP.

It might weaken vote rigging but it strengthens back-room deals and amplifies the voices of fringe parties. There will be one party looking to form a government but it would need the support of smaller parties, whose support comes with strings.
"Oh, you want the support of the Green Party? You need to raise your carbon tax even higher." and so on.
