Pelosi has violated damn near every law/act that she possibly can

does it even matyer

BunnyPicnic 13 points ago +13 / -0

Came here to say this. She could kill a newborn baby with a rusty spoon on Facebook live, and she wouldn't be arrested. The only way she will be held accountable, is if we do something ourselves. We can't talk about that, because we'll be shutdown. The founding fathers used pubs and churches to plan.

No

DudePlayingaDude 14 points ago +14 / -0

Well.... Democrat, sooo...... No crime.

2
TheWinningNeverStops 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly. It's not even news at this point. She's a criminal we all know that.

Great give them to FEMA. When a hurricane destroys the power grid it will be hilarious to see the fleet with dead batteries and everyone trapped in the Super Dome.

16
EvilGuy 16 points ago +16 / -0

No they will just bring out the diesel powered generators to boost those great non polluting vehicles.

Same thing they do when a Tesla driver runs themselves out of charge. It's a whole side business for tow companies now.

Left: Pelosi bought call options on Dec 22nd (long term).

Right: Jan 25 Biden announces he’s making the entire 645k fleet of federal vehicles electric.

On /r/wallstreetbets it’s a running joke to copy her trades and become rich

4
bigdaddy2 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don’t know stocks, but how do they know what her trades are?

2
Kongol626 2 points ago +2 / -0

sometimes when you own a high amount you have to publicly disclose it. If you are a ceo you have to disclose how much you buy from your own company, etc.. For congress I think in the Stock act or something they have to submit a report if they buy more than a grand in stocks within a month or so. Don't quote me on the congress part.

But this is how we find out what Warren Buffet, etc... bought and sold. Technically you can try to copy his trades. Not in real time obviously.

magabigleague2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Is it really a joke when its a legit strategy?

19
deplorabetty 19 points ago +19 / -0

This your first time hearing about the Pelosi Provision??? Her appetite for insider trading is well known.

9
ShortCircuits [S] 9 points ago +9 / -0

Wow. Just...wow.

13
BoDude2020 13 points ago +13 / -0

Maratha Steward went to prison for that. Pelosi should go to prison and hell for that.

9
MythArcana 9 points ago +9 / -0

She's been insider trading for over 30 years, that's why she has so much money. She makes sweetheart deals in congress for companies, then invests money in it to make huge profits.

3
T_BigD1745 3 points ago +3 / -0

And if those companies happen to be owned and operated by foreign governments like Ukraine and Chyna, even better!

6
Damadhatter 6 points ago +6 / -0

What's the range of an electric vehicle these days? This is going to backfire hilariously.

20
JarretGax 20 points ago +20 / -0

It won't backfire, this is as planned. Its not their money they are spending its tax payers.

When things go bad guess what? Throw more money at the problem.

3
ianpatrick1966 3 points ago +4 / -1

They'll build trailers with diesel powered gennies for these shit boxes to tow around

5
dridas 5 points ago +5 / -0

Can the power grid even handle that many cars being recharged? When solar and wind aren’t enough, which it isn’t now, where the hell do they think the electricity comes from. EV’s are less efficient than gas powered vehicles

1
DJ_NeckFace 1 point ago +1 / -0

likely no.

2
DudePlayingaDude 2 points ago +2 / -0

Remember when the federal government decided to buy all those K-cars?

1
Gnometard 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think the cars are like 300 miles.

1
ProudWhiteMan 1 point ago +1 / -0

Nah they get to increase electric consumption, virtue signal, fatten their pockets and as always make real americans poorer as now there'll be a million more vehicles sucking energy from the grid which they're dismantling.

6
brundlefly777 6 points ago +6 / -0

Was "desensitizing" one of the steps Yuri Bezmenov told us about? Because god damn, this sort of thing happens so much nowadays, I'm not only not surprised, but I don't even care as much as I would have. I don't have faith anything will come of this.

4
swimminginthoughts 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's a bunch of coal powered cars!

4
Porkchop-express 4 points ago +4 / -0

We got her this time

3
ghostsage 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh yes, she'll be impeached by morning, Sunday morning.

3
wethedownvoted 3 points ago +3 / -0

Tesla isn't unionized, 0% chance they'll be included in the handout

3
heretorock 3 points ago +3 / -0

Unless influential corrupt congress traitors have significant financial incentive to pump Tesla...

1
ProudWhiteMan 1 point ago +1 / -0

China is making some EV, so they're probably supplying at least the Postal Service.

3
EvilGuy 3 points ago +3 / -0

They dont need to hide their corruption anymore. No one is going to arrest them, and they don't need anyone to actually vote for them.

2
HenkZeilstra 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is not the first time nor will it be the last, this level of corruption is on the level of Zimbwabwe

2
FuckRedditMAGAMAGA 2 points ago +2 / -0

"Look, fat, here's the deal! We can't afford to pay you another few hundred dollars of your own money, but we can definitely afford 650,000 brand new Teslas for me and Congress"

2
8thGenPatriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wait, the ENTIRE fleet? Including military vehicles?

Good luck replacing an M1070 with a Chevy Bolt...

1
UnauthorizedCaranx 1 point ago +1 / -0

Bought shares in big tech with Apple and also into Walt Disney who owns ABC news. Hmmm

1
Pretense 1 point ago +1 / -0

I bought 2 calls on apple, earnings report comes Wednesday, and I actually bought cause I knew about this with Pelosi, she's up to her crooked insider trading again

1
ektojaxo 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ever wondered how politicians make their money? Insider trading.

acasper 1 point ago +1 / -0

I see both good and bad aspects of this type of action. It’s going to get the federal government locked into a pretty screwed market (assuming we don’t find an alternative to LiPo batteries) but if we actually do limit government purchasing to domestic manufacturers it is going to facilitate a ton of jobs. Do I think Biden is going to actually keep buying in the US? Absolutely not. He’s going to buy from China when we are unable to meet production requirements (probably from BYD). Even if this didn’t happen, the scheme will have a massive impact on national security because the production of Lithium is largely in the sphere of influence of China. Electric requires replacement batteries and that would provide a way for China to leverage sunk cost to negotiate on other issues.

TSLA is already in a similar “No We Totally Are A Tech Company” bubble like the one Uber is starting to try and deflate. This fleet shift will push them even higher because of their mindshare and when the government goes with domestically produced Japanese and Chinese brands due to cost and proven reliability it could very well cause that bubble to pop not only for TSLA but for all the similar brands that have adopted this tactic to rationalize absurd valuations. Imagine WeWork except a hundred companies over the course of a month.

If you find yourself arguing with someone about this just point out that if electric vehicles are economically viable then we should eliminate the USPS for the most part, the largest vehicle operator in the federal government, and hand off the market to the private sector. Use all resulting funds to implement nuclear for more of our naval vessels (which use the dirtiest fuel and should be modernized anyway) and for small business loans to independent local carriers that can scale/borrow fleet assets from pools as needed (asset sharing will have a greater net impact on carbon anyway by reducing emissions during production).

Also, for good measure because it’s basically never a bad idea, anti-trust. Break up Amazon. Force their Retail/Logistics to live without the AWS cashflow while competing with other carriers. All federal logistics needs including remaining USPS administered services available for bidding. Modernize the bidding structure for federal contracts and release that software to the public as open source so that states and businesses can use it.

Clown World. Absolutely sickening.

1
magabigleague2 1 point ago +1 / -0

How do you look these up?

1
Pigpenlordofdirt 1 point ago +1 / -0

The government is terrible at these types of rollouts. Oh well, looks like overtime for me and my buds

1
Trumps_legacy 1 point ago +1 / -0

so what? nothings ever gonna happen

1
Tenspot20 1 point ago +1 / -0

I can't afford that shit! You can fucking walk! Or take the city bus!

1
Nerdrem 1 point ago +1 / -0

I seriously doubt that if they go through with this they'll be buying Teslas, it will probably be some sort of Ford or GM hybrid that they'll say are technically EVs or something.

1
MapleBaconWaffles 1 point ago +1 / -0

It'll probably be a bunch of different stuff. I'm sure they won't buy 645 thousand of the same vehicle. Anyway, even if they didn't buy any Teslas, Tesla would still profit as more customers came to them just because of supply and demand.

Congress is exempt from this law: by law. Read the bottom of the act.

Congress is exempt from a whole boatload of laws. Few people really know about it. Find the actual laws, not Wiki or any other. You'll be AMAZED.
