Nice but they’re never going to vote for it. Why would they vote to put themselves out of a job.

You can simply add a provision that current legislators are grandfathered in. That way, the people still get what they want, and Congress doesn't have to put themselves out of a job.

that is the most swampy way of swapm creatures to retain their own power when the unwashed masses rise up and start selecting their own representatives.
