sound idea BUT: the term limits should be uniform between branches. Im not sure how the judiciary should be handled, but I think the same term limits should apply to them as to the Executive. EVERYONE should be held accountable and limited in their time in government - and LIMITS should be placed on appointees who just sit and collect paychecks forever too. For example, if the Presidential is a 4 year term, limit them to 3 terms (max 12 years). If Senate is 6 year terms, limit them to 2 years (max 12 years). If reps have 2 year terms, limit them to 6 terms (12 years). when there is an imbalance in term limits for the elected branches, you get what we have now, which is one branch (Legislative) just waiting it out when there is an Executive elected they dont like. This is a detriment to the American people. Again, since judiciary are appointed not elected, Im not sure how we handle them, but I think they should be also limited in term. Lifetime appointments guarantees corruption. Maybe the max terms shouldnt be 12 years but 16, and a judiciary appointment would simply be that, 16 years. Period. We need a balance between allowing the electorate to keep people doing a good job that simply may take time to get good at, and yet stop career barnacles that will put up walls to stay in their castle for 30 years.
