The VA is rolling out a new medical messaging program to replace MyHealthEVet. It is being tested at the Spokane VA. It was started late last year. FACTS: They forced us to use this new system. ALL DATA FROM EVET WAS WIPED. No messages, access to records, etc. GONE!! Log into the new system... NO DATA, MESSAGING HISTORY... A BLANK NEW SYSTEM. Ok, so let's send a message to my doctor...hmmm I NEED TO KNOW THE FIRST NAME OF MY DOCTOR?? NO pull down menu of my team. Nothing.

Question: Which 3rd grade child designed this software?

Now that is the patient interface. The internal workings of the hospital is now a shit show! I cannot tell it all here!

VETS: GET YOUR RECORDS IN ORDER. WE ARE BEING TESTED HERE NOW.

Considering how bad the service was at two branches of the VA I've had the displeasure of getting seen at was I doubt it'll make it any worse than it already was. Most of the doctors seem like they were the "I almost failed out" bottom of the barrel that can't find jobs anywhere else, the nurses can never answer basic questions and I'm not sure if some of them can even read, and the people they have doing admin can barely get out of their own way half the time.

It's why I laugh when people claim that "single payer" will be better, or that socialism in any form can work. We have that, it's horrible.

The VA swamp kept trying to push their internally developed bullshit software for decades. After numerous vets committed suicide because of poor management, some people woke up and bought a better software system so that they could quickly fix the issue.

Looks like now that they have fixed the problem, they want to try their bullshit software 2.0 and hope that not as many vets commit suicide this time. Their hope is that they can go back to being kings of the shitty castle instead of just government IT. These government leaders are absolutely corrupt to the bone. And it's because the system is led by nepotists.

Does this impact eBenefits too? Do I need to web archive my rating before they pretend I never had one?

You should have the paperwork that stated your rating when you got out of the military, or if you were out and granted one the paperwork when that happened, as well as a yearly letter that says your rating as well as any COLA changes for the upcoming year. I've got those plus the breakdown for the rating they gave me in a book with all the other stuff from the military like orders and the few medical records they allowed me to keep and didn't take back when I was out processing.

It wouldn't surprise me if they tried to "adjust" ratings or flat out get rid of them for anyone on the lower end, but you should never get rid of the paperwork you got that shows it in print no matter what.

I think I’ve got all my documents recorded somewhere. If they changing systems are information is vanishing it seems it might be smart to make 100% sure my records are in order.

I can totally see the Biden administration announcing they have “updated VA records” and found huge savings.

If nothing else, get onto the portal tonight and get the current rating's printout that you can get through that. It's better than nothing and it'll at least be something you can check against later on.

With how much they're screwing with things they're going to do something to vet's so best to get ahead of that quickly now that we know they're messing with basic stuff.

FOLLOW UP: The Commnity Care Act allowed the vets to choice out their primary care. Then Congress passed an adjustment to keep vets in the VA if the hospital had space and could hire more docs. Now COVID is the EXCUSE that docs are out sick and refuse choice out for primary care. CATCH 22 VA STYLE. This Salty Pariot will expose this shit. I had to threaten malpractice to get a doc to call me. Then ha begged me to not come in... COVID IS SO BAD!!

This sounds like a normal government transition to a better program. No worries, it'll be a disaster and then it'll get better.

I been going there 25 yrs. My dad was Iwo Jima shipboard machine gunner blowing caves for the marines, BTW. Dad was always a prick there. I know why. They gave him sepsis. Then shipped him to hospice... I'm a nuke operator Viet Nam vet. Still no respect there. It has a bad history. Ask Phoenix...
