Technically you are right, this article doesn't say he specifically wants to cleans out the GOP but between his statements about making a list of RINOS, re-securing the house and senate for the republicans, and this statement from this article; “We are not supportive of this effort, have nothing to do with it, and only know about it through public reporting,” I feel my assessment if plenty reasonable.

I am not sure what you're hung up on here. I didn't rewrite anything. The operable term is "seems" and I base that off the aforementioned bits from the last weeks (roughly) news cycle. This is a matter of looking at several articles and statments not just this one. Though, when reading this article I think the Trump team made pretty clear they are not part of the Patriot Party that has been popping up. Sure, that may change but it is pretty damn clear as of right now they aren't part of any of it.
I've read all the articles on this subject, and they didn't say what you think they said either.
