A good chunk of the right just wants to be left alone whereas a good chunk of the left desperately seeks the approval of others and wants to control others. The left is a loose coalition of different groups that would often times otherwise hate each other, for example, on average Catholic socially conservative mexican immigrants and trannies find themselves both on the left. It's just simply not that hard to get different groups on the left to fight each other but the key is that it has to be initiated from a leftist perspective. Two factions of leftists will always come together to fight right wingers but if they don't think right wingers are involved and aren't watching they will quickly start to go at it with each other if given the right bait.

Be sure to always politely ask older straight Democrats what their pronouns are. A lot of them are secretly embarrassed about that part of their party.
