The whole smash needs a reset. Which oddly enough the MSM has been clamoring for. Just probably not the one they imagined.
A new constitutional convention for a new govt would be a start. All the secession talk is so cringe. We DO need more power back to the states, clean elections and an audit over the judiciary (reviewing cases by peers and whether they went for bias / partisanship vs law) would be a start.
I'll admit it's been a while since I researched consitutional conventions, but my recollections on why the first one occured had all the earmarks of why we need one now.
Mostly to restore confidence in the govt - which there is nearly zero now (I mean holy crap even a weighted score puts more than 4/5ths of the public thinking it's totally meaningless.
That's so bad.
In the meantime getting China OUT of education, tech, the media, and the govt would be a short term fix. Bring back HUAC (not that the current house would do such a thing - but it'd be a prime-one goal after a reset).
