They're worried about copyright and there's no real way to prove your own photos aren't copyrighted. Some folks will make you sign a release. Costco used to be pretty good.
Literally every photo anyone ever takes is copyrighted the moment the picture is taken. That’s how copyright law works. You don’t have to have a registered copyright for your work to be protected by copyright law.
I know, but I've gotten prints of my work before and some places would be annoying about whether it was mine or not. Most seemed fine with me maybe having to sign a release.
Just seems like they should require a release for everything they print or none of it. Not this stupid in-between shit of “ohh your photo actually looks good enough to print, we might have to make it harder for you!”

In the EXIF of my photographs it says copyright me and my phone number.
I'm referring to my prosumer grade Nikon camera. I think thou can do the same thing in Android settings.
