An EO would have to be pretty minimal to not get struck down by some courts. The house and senate won't go along with much, until the FBI can goad some idiot into shooting a large bunch of folks and the media has no distractions to go full on hysteria mode.
Putting any faith in the courts or congress is foolish at this point in time and I agree with they'll manufacture some excuse so as to 'make it easier' on themselves so as not to incur any sort of backlash. It is their modus operandi.
I think the likelihood of this happening is slim at best, but I do think some gun regulation will come just nothing this heavyhanded. I'm not going to give into every fear of what could happen and let myself get demoralized or anxious. Let's start nominating champions to win back house seats, get hired on for elections and win local elections.

I plan on winning, but Washington had his army and the continental congress and a lot of thought, effort and organization will be needed. I'll be doing what I can at the local level for fair, honest and transparent elections and I too plan on winning.
