I would love to see more movies like that. Fascism is much more likely to come from the left than the right. You need a collectivist hivemind to pull off fascism properly. Fascism doesn't work too well with people that are individualistic.
Look at the so-called capital riots from January 6th. A small group of protestors being led by a fucking viking who was just aimlessly wondering the building. Half the people were busy taking selfies and acting like Japanese tourists. And who puts a 90 year old grandma in as the tip of the spear. She's roaming around with a sippy cup and tiny American flag. These are our elite fascist shock troops. 😂 Then you got Baked Alaska who was probably baked out of mind the entire time.
In all the movies where the government takes over every aspect of everyone's lives, the government is somehow depicted as a "conservative" government, led by a white male. Fucking gaslighting Hollywood!
