There was some heated argumentation earlier today between those wanting to support the newly formed Patriot Party, and those who were pointing out that it was not setup by Trump and likely not affiliated with Trump in any official capacity.
Trump and his team have now made it clear that this newly filed party has NOTHING to do with Trump or his team.
Yeah its unfortunately true and many people can't accept it. The way he rolled on the election fraud when he didnt exhaust all avenues while claiming big revelations were coming is traitorous. He also threw Patriots under the bus at the Capitol and went along with the mainstream insurrection narrative. He also did fight to reinstate the Smith mundt act in the NDAA along with section 230. He should have got on that a lot earlier in his term
Trump, for all we love about him, is not highly technical, lacks political savvy, and is focused massively on being popular. He consults with other people and trusts their opinions over his own.
As Robert Barnes said, Trump consistently burned almost every one of his ardent supporters, while surrounding himself with appointments for people who had actively and openly worked against him.
He trusted Kushner and other establishment players on issues like getting on gab, pardoning Assange, etc... he didn't want to do things that he thought would have upset people.
If Trump had known what would have happened on Jan 6th, he would have called the whole thing off, because it ruined his slight chance at some kind of objection and hearing over the votes... and it put a huge black stain on his legacy. Neither of which were things he wanted.
Trump doesn't want a Patriot Party right now because he doesn't want to split the vote. He wants to try to reform the Republican Party.
Trump may have lit the flame, but it will be up to the American people to carry the torch. Trump, for all his bombast, lacks the political savvy or the will to really get his knuckles bloody in this fight with an enemy that DOES NOT CARE about the law, ethnics, morals, honor, this country, or anything else remotely good and decent.
I wish him the best, but it does feel like he crawled out of office with a whimper and left this country to the communists, and is now claiming we'll win the upcoming elections in a system that not only was already rigged, but that the criminals who did it are CEMENTING INTO LAW RIGHT NOW.
How the hell can any rational person think we'll do even better with a system that was already broken and is being openly corrupted further as we speak!?
