A lot of us truly believed in what was happening, looked forward to some actual consequences for those in power, and were disappointed Trump didn't pull the trigger.

It may have been spearheaded by antifa, but it was not "mostly antifa" - it was mostly patriots, and they kept the looting, vandalism, and arson being advocated by antifa from happening.

Our country is founded on the premise that the people must always be more powerful than the government, and have a duty to overthrow the government if it becomes odious and intolerable. There's a real discussion to be had about where that line is. It's a scary discussion, but everyone who disagrees with you isn't a shill. Some are, for sure, but there's a lot of real people on both sides.

I agree that many patriots wanted it to happen, but they dont understand that it cannot happen in the current situation. Many tough talks about 1776, but in 2021, unfortuantely, almost half of the country backs the current government.

It could have happened. Martial law backed by millions of armed citizens, retroactively-enforced term limits, clean election with all new candidates and actual security... All it needed was for Trump to play the dictator they constantly accused him of being, for a single month before riding into the sunset.

It would have been a mess, but it would have worked.
