It's based on what powers SV. The VCs. They're centralized in Northern CA specifically on Sand Hill Road on the border of Palo-Alto and Menlo Park. The reason most companies are based in that region is because VC members sit on the boards and advisory committees of their investments (for the most part).

It is very rare for them to commute more than 2 hours from their hive. Break the investment model with something better - and the whole thing collapses.

I've got a mutli part multi strategy method for doing just that after more than a year of research (although out of the gate I'll want people to review and check on the massive legal and financial regulatiions involved to find ways to make my idea even better).

I've been drafting the prospectus (at least until the election cycle - I can't compete with the signal-noise ratio so I put it on hold until the 20th of Jan. I'm putting the footpedal to the floor again and I'm looking to soundboard the overall idea to make sure it has legs. There's a scant 2 or 3 in the space right now, but they're doing it wrong (for many reasons).

It could break the hold SV's VCs have on the whole smash and create both a massive investment platform for all tiers as well as a huge number of jobs from the startups it could create (and not just in tech). Oh, and one other goal is making it 'America First' because some of the startups I want to nurture are those that cannot be performed by foreign nations for regulatory reasons (specifically ITAR).
