Although the default stream is pretty spam free, always have ad-block or better yet - use Opera which has both built in VPN and delays any pop-ups that slip through (making it easy to close them without any shenanigans).
Better still is Plex and Kodi which provide a great front end and plug ins for all manner of streaming sites. I'll be configuring some new hardware to use exactly that.
