Edit - Found a better source for computers and mobile phones!
Allen Edmonds makes pretty bad shoes. I've bought 7 pairs from them and had to return 4 of them for various defects. This last time, I decided to never buy from them again.
Cobbler Union shoes are made in Spain (unfortunately not USA) but they are superior quality at the similar 400$ price tag.
I make good$$$ but cannot phantom spending that much, there is a company thats makes leather shoes from Texas, I believe Santa Fe shoes
Yea, the high end leather shoes prices can be a bit shocking at first. I used to think similarly. The thing is, high end leather shoes can literally last a lifetime if you take care of the uppers. They can also be resoled which puts brand new soles on while maintaining the 'broke in' feel and bringing your shoes back to damn near brand new. Not to mention, higher end shoes are night and day visually compared to the 100-200$ range which lasts only a year or two. Taking care of the high end shoes is a bit of a hobby also and it feels good to put on some beautifully polished shoes. It's all about cost-per-wear. 400$ up front, shoe lasts forever if taken care of. Buy yourself one pair of shoes from Cobbler Union or somewhere else that is goodyear stitched and your mind will be blown. It's life changing!
