I'm having a rough fucking night pedes. Edit to Add: like a leak just sprung up in my kitchen kind of rough not any kind of mental health emergency.
ETA 2: easier to answer everyone up here. getting house ready to sell, found significant water damage, have a guy coming to look at it. last night on the other side of the house likely unrelated, a significant leak developed very quickly in my kitchen.
Just another straw right.
You guys are great.
Edit to update:
the first problem is going to be around 1500 bucks and the second problem (the leak from last night) is going to be covered by my insurance, but the guy is only going to charge me the deductible even if they decide not to cover it, that will be 1000 bucks.
I know this doesn't sound like good news to some of you guys, and I have been there, but this is great news for me, minor dent emergency fund so to speak.
Having a job and being prepared makes everything better.
Now pedes, lets use the power of prayer and good will to hold this hunk of crap together till i can off load it to someone more comfortable in this dark blue crime field city.
You shut the water off? Valves under the sink, or there's got to be a "main" where the water comes into your house. You will likely get residual leaking from water left in the pipes until pressure abates.
If it's a roof leak, get a bucket. :)
Got a bucket, poked the bottom of the bubble so the ceiling wouldn't collapse.
It's a newer roof, less than five years old, so I can't believe it, but when it was raining hard there was a strong leak and when it stopped raining the leak stopped so it has to be.
