Is there anything stopping Trumps defense from playing video of the left dem leaders calling for violence and confrontation last summer for blm? Seems like they were directly encouraging an insurrection, and it would be a good thing to bring up in a public trial?

That is why Roberts is not presiding, he knows it is unconstitutional. If by some chance they were to convict, it would end up at the Supreme Court.
If we can impeach ex presidents, why don't we impeach Obama, or even George W Bush, after all, he is a war criminal who lied about WMDs. Of course I was being factitious, but the left would consider impeaching Bush.
