People who were gearing up for opening day and March Madness just decided they didn't like watching sports anymore. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the virtue signaling and anti-American sentiment being spewed from every sports organization at every level.
Back in the late 90s/early 2000s, wrestling was more popular than football in little towns. The WCW and WWF were HUGE.
