I said this on another thread, some guy was coming in here linking everyone to the patriot party page. We don't sign up and give out personal info to people claiming to be Trump affiliated without the Trump family's approval.

They are going to mine for our information, and they will no doubt use it to come after us.

That and there are no shortage of crooks that would love to steal and reroute donations to themselves. I believe Ron Paul had a bunch of these grifters trying to get money from his supporters.

After seeing an article on it I posted the FEC filing but explicitly stated in the title that it was set up by "Georgia Man Michael Gaul" in hopes someone would give me some info in the comments. No one seemed to care one way or another.

Be the GOP you wish to see, as Ghandi would say. If we have a 3rd party, we split 50% of the vote and the other 50%(30% real + 20% fraud) would still be for Democrats, meaning Dems win forever.

96% Trump approval for Republicans.. with these numbers we become the GOP. Get engaged at your local level and work the shills and cucks out of the system because fuck those guys.

8
Alcibiades1473 8 points ago +8 / -0

Sweeping new parties can occur. Its how the Republican party started, because Whigs were out of touch. Fast forward ten years and Lincoln got elected. It can happen and it can happen faster than you think

2
Amaroq64 2 points ago +2 / -0

According to some poll somewhere, if Trump made a 3rd party, it would be more popular than the Republican party.

3
randomusers239874 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's not how it works in a first past the post system. If a third party comes along with enough support, it will overtake and subsume the dominant party. The situation you described is mathematically unstable, so one party will always lose. Given the dissatisfaction with the GOP, and popularity of Trump, now would be the time to create a third party as we would have more than enough support to overtake the GOP.

3
yodayoda 3 points ago +3 / -0

Dems and Repubs two sides of the same uniparty coin.

2

2

It caught me off guard, but it's so predictable that some ahole would do this!!!

I guess this means that when we do start a third party, we won't be able to call it the Patriot Party. ☹️

2
BestTimeToBAlive 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think there’s a wiki page for an older Patriot Party from the 1960s that had a socialist terrorist agenda like the Weather Underground.

Sucks but I’m positive whatever Trump does, he’s come come out swinging & fuck all their shit up like no one could’ve ever imagined.

0
Deplora 0 points ago +1 / -1

President Trump will not be endorsing or leading any new political party.

1
bluto36 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trump wont go full perot-tard unless he can win. right now we have GOP that need to be punish first.

lets ruin Romney/Sasse/McCarthy/Toomey and the rest first. cant create a third party and leave them in control of the GOP.

there are many in the Red states that have good reps, we should not destroy them. i however do not and i want them gone

2
20KAG20 2 points ago +2 / -0

True, if we can’t remove the entire leadership of the GOP, it’s essentially a new party. I’m also talking replacing everyone who has worked at the RNC for more than 5 years prior to Trump.

4
me-no-likely2 4 points ago +5 / -1

Just follow Trump. The GOP are a bunch of faggots, but they’re our faggots and we need to take control of the party.

2
RIPMyMorale 2 points ago +2 / -0

While we make up most of republican votes as Trump supporters, we are not 100%, at least 15% went to the republicans Trump or not.

Cleaning up the Republican Party would be better than having a 3rd party

2
randomusers239874 2 points ago +2 / -0

No it wouldn't. Third parties with enough support overtake the majority party, which we would be able to do with simple 51% support. The two party system is actually due to mathematics, so if we can just slightly beat the GOP the system will quickly stabilize and we'll gain most (if not all) of their voters.

1
TheLastUndertaker 1 point ago +1 / -0

Posted this last night, elsewhere:

The biggest deterrent to creating a new party is the fact you'd need 100% of current GOP voters to vote for this new party. That would never happen. You'd split the vote, meaning 2024 would be a blow out for the Democrats. Yes, you'd succeed in destroying the Republican Party, but you'd also succeed in assuring Democrat control of the country for the foreseeable future, if that's even avoidable at this point. Let's assume after only two elections, being extremely optimistic, the Republican party fades into obscurity. The Democrats have had control for 6 days, and are already royally destroying this country. What would unchecked power for 8 or even 4 years accomplish? Even if this new party did attain the presidency, I highly doubt you would have even the slightest chance of undoing the damage that would do to this nation. Trump's accomplishments are already being undone, what little steps we took in the right direction, we've jumped so many back it's almost insurmountable. Whatever the answer is, creating a new party certainly would be a lasting mistake. I say this as an Independent who voted for Trump twice, and would do so again. Trump knows this, and this is why he's still acting within the bounds of the current political paradigm. Sometimes you have to work with the hand you're dealt.

1
booblitchutz 1 point ago +1 / -0

There's never going to be a perfect political party, not when we have two parties. There's always going to be compromise and disappointment. Basically you end up with nobody getting what they want.

God damn some of you people are fucking stupid. Trump isn't condemning it. Its a legal filing making clear that he has no financial connection to it. This is to ensure that we don't just throw in with a group without vetting them, but mostly to keep the dems or the media from trying to shit on him for the actions of an entity he's not associated with.

Also, fuck every single one of you that is worried about "splitting the vote". Republicans are NOT ON YOUR SIDE. THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR VOTE. ANY OF THEM. EVER AGAIN. My rep has been pretty good, but I'm not voting for him in 22. No republicans. No more career politicians. Fuck the elite political class. You're better off with someone at random representing you in congress.

Learn your lesson.

3

People here would rather vote for Bush and Romney over Obama and Hillary. You can't convince them, they are retarded.

3

Agree. Waking those idiots up is going to have to be our job before we can take on the actual enemy in this country.

11
jackneefus 11 points ago +13 / -2

Trump's style is to fight back and win. He still has 90% approval rating among. Republicans. If Trump supports MAGA candidates in 2022 primaries, he can take back party leadership. That should be the short-term goal.

8
AnnoyinglyOptimistic 8 points ago +8 / -0

Sticky this?

7
BackhoeBandit 7 points ago +9 / -2

A "Patriot Party" would split the conservative vote, giving the Dems win after win.

it would be much easier to replace the "Old Guard" GOP with new MAGA candidates during the Primaries

5
randomusers239874 5 points ago +6 / -1

It wouldn't split the vote. The first past the post system makes it so that only two major parties can exist simultaneously (from a mathematical perspective). If we were to get just 51% of the GOP voter base we would overtake them as the majority party (as their support would collapse). Considering Trump has huge support amongst Republicans, and the GOP is very disliked, that shouldn't be a problem. It also allows the party to rebrand itself; most people hear "Republican" and think religious fundamentalist. We can drop the bad connotations while keeping some of the policy.

4
Alcibiades1473 4 points ago +4 / -0

Thats the fear, not always the reality. Look at how the Republican party started

Disavow

Legal Term. TO DISAVOW - To deny the authority by which an agent pretends to have acted as when he has exceeded the bounds of his authority.

This wording comes from a Trump Campaign FEC Filing released January 25th, 2021.

"Disavow" is a legal term used to describe the Trump Campaign's relationship to the Patriot Party organization that recently filed to become an organization in the state of Georgia.

The original filing by the Patriot Party of GA stated that they were involved with the Trump Campaign financially. This is not the case.

The Trump Administration and the Patriot Party GA Organizations are unaffiliated, hence the campaign's disavowal of the Patriot Party's statement made in their original FEC filing.

This does not, however, mean that Trump disavows the organization.

The "Patriot Party" website at https://us-patriotparty.com/ seems to be unaffiliated with the FEC filing as well. Please let me know if you have found any information about the people who created the website.

The only thing I see wrong with a possible party name Lion party is the left having an easy mem on the world Lion/Lying..

I think Ill wait for Trump to officially name the party. Until then Ill stay republican so I can tell them off when they call for donations./

Imagine thinking that the GOP will let anyone even close to as MAGA Trump run again.

It's a fucking uniparty. DNC and GOP are SWAMP.

4
Olds77 4 points ago +4 / -0

Except those of us who supported Ron Paul knew that and watched Trump walk in and dominate in 2016 after Ron Paul got fucked in 08 and '12. It's not impossible.

1
LibertarianXian 1 point ago +1 / -0

This - I watched this entire arc and it seems clear to me that Trump learned from Paul's mistakes and capitalized on his advantages (mainly, having a lot more money, power, branding and media presence plus charisma) to accomplish his goal.

We see now that the swamp is even bigger than we thought.

I'm totally divided on this. I don't think party affiliation means a damn thing until integrity is restored to the voting process at critical points. Primarying RINOs is an effective strategy but as long as the swamp can just login and modify votes what difference does it make.

3
MaddieEsquire 3 points ago +3 / -0

Problem is we're in a bubble here, assuming everyone who voted for Trump is like us. Most aren't even thinking about a 3rd party.

Good luck organizing this on the local and state levels. Explain why we can't succeed at primarying some RINOs, but we are going to somehow get the same voters to all abandon ship? It's not realistic.

I will follow Trump's lead, but I predict that he will NOT go 3rd party, because he ultimately cares about doing the smartest and most efficient thing to win, not wasting time, energy and resources just to send a "message".

3
conservativeyuppie 3 points ago +7 / -4

iT WiLL spLiT tHe VoTe

No, no it won't. You're assuming the GOP will still remain alive if Trump forms a new party. Trump's the only person right now who can destroy and successfully rebuild a conservative party. Millions of people registered as Republicans this election only because of Trump.

2
Nerdrem 2 points ago +2 / -0

It will split the vote, but we've just got to bite the bullet and do it anyways; House Reps are up for reelection every two years, vote R for Senate which has longer terms, vote 3rd party for House. The midterms are the best time to do this because then we can get 3rd party candidates into the House, and even if the dems take the majority normies will have two years to see what we're about and get used to the fact that the GOP is no longer a viable option, just in time for 2024. Then it's up to them whether they want to throw away their vote on now 3rd party status republicans or if they want to vote America First.

0
Kraznaya 0 points ago +2 / -2

The GOP is currently soaking up the Patriot vote. By staying in the race when there's a real Patriot Party, the GOP are the one's splitting the vote.

0
me-no-likely2 0 points ago +1 / -1

And the Democrats still have a large voting block and non-Communists have 2 smaller voting blocks. Commies win. Just follow Trump and fuck all RINOs.
