I'd be really suspicious of this guy. There's only 1 Gaul on LinkedIn with an address in Grovetown GA. He's a DOD civilian firefighter- which probably makes him a AFGE member. The AFGE endorsed Biden in the 2020 election.
This is simply legal posturing, creating distance between one of Trump's many corporations (DJTFP Inc.) and the Patriot Party corporation.
You do things like this to get out in front of incoming allegations. Trump's team knows that impeachment proceedings will uncover links between his corporations and 3rd parties and attempt to paint those relationships as criminal.
Going to guess that the campaign legal team filed this and Trump himself may not have been directly aware of it.
Also note there can be many parties with the same name. In some states, there are "independent" Parties to fool voters who really want to be enrolled in no party.
Next steps would be to research Michael Joseph Gaul without crossing the line into doxing. It may be a common name that there will be several in any search results.
