Man I'm sorry for your loss. But let's be honest. It's not politics it's propaganda that's what is causing the split of families. Plenty of people in the past had differing views on politics but the difference is the conditioning and brainwashing we deal with today.

You really love her still, it seems. If she isn't fully set on leaving, maybe you could suggest you both put aside politics and start going out on dates like when you first got to know each other. You could stay in separate rooms to make it seem like a new, dating relationship. (Or not!) Treat her like you did when you wanted to win her and see if she responds to this. Keep from politics! Try to find out if you still have enough other things in common and respect for each other that would make your relationship worth keeping. If you eventually find out your relationship IS worth keeping after a while of testing this, then getting married can go a long way to grounding your relationship. It makes a relationship more settled and hopeful for a long future.
Unfortunately, the tensions of the past year have been really hard on everyone. She may have just gotten to a point of needing a way to release all the pressure. Unfortunately, you are handy.
