Another good option for people that want to just test Linux out is to get something like VMPlayer, and install Linux as a virtual machine that you can boot into from your Windows session. It's great to have just to tool around in, or if you need to do sensitive online stuff like online banking (not having to worry nearly as much about viruses/spyware.)
