First, your anti-mask rebellion does nothing. It means nothing. And if you aren't wearing one because you think the 'rona is largely harmless and overblown, that means even you know not wearing your mask actually is changing nothing.
That means your 'I'm not gonna wear a mask' attitude is actually just virtue signaling. You know it changes nothing but you do it to show other people how superior your character is. That's virtue signaling, like, by definition: empty platitudes and meaningless gestures to make a point to strangers who don't care.
Second, and more importantly: All those patriots facing prison time for Jan 6th didn't wear masks either because they thought they'd signal their virtue about how dumb masks are. "lol what kind of sheep wears a mask", "I won't wear a mask, EVER!", they crow.
Now they're all in fucking prison over their anti-mask bullshit, because they took anti-masking so seriously, even when they were knowingly committing crimes, on film, in the most surveilled city in America, they still proudly displayed their naked faces and smiled and posed.
Everyone saw their faces and destroyed their businesses, their families, their lives.
Now they're going to fucking prison where they're going to be forced to wear a mask or face being thrown into solitary.

Strangers may think you're cool.
Disadvantages to being a rebellion anti-masker:
