I'm going to be somewhere between Hopium and Ropium. If this counts: As far as I know, this is not a joke, I believe I might have made the FIRST 'Trump for President' graphic in 2013. Not joking, seriously, I believe i posted it on 'The Apprentice' facebook page. If I can find it I will post it somewhere and the file has a creation date (which is how i found out I was that early and it surprised me).
Anyway, I really did work in the TV and Radio business back in the day writing commercials, doing voice-overs on-air personality stuff. I'm not a technical writer, I started writing for comedians, I did 'gonzo journalism' and yes I did get some half-decent winning memes here and there in the Meme Wars of 2016.
I like to THINK I'm getting good with video editing, making wacky Trump vids or GIFS but then I see someone like Carpe Diem (or really, many of you guys) and I realize I'm not THAT good! But I can chop up an okay little video, I'm just good enough at graphics that it looks 'acceptable' and the odd time a bit cool and pro-style.
Here's where I was at my best (and was paid the most) but when the manager figured out I was the 'idea guy' and to the point nobody else was asked - he go directly to me and say the thing, (insurance company, seniors home, etc) the want funny. I'd draw a picture using a crayon on the back of a pizza box and the script scrawled out in run-on sentences. He'd then take that to the graphics/audio wizard who'd do a 'Pro Version' and proper English grammar = fucking magic! They figured out I'm the Ideas Wizard but not really the technical 'polish it up' guy.
Anyway, I'll get back to ya via Protonmail.
It might be an advantage or a disadvantage but I work around the world. Currently in East Asia but will be sliding over to the UK sooner or later here and back to North American probably before 2022, God willing. That might give me some advantages I don't know about yet heh
