I think if there is evidence that a divorced woman is having sex with another man then that woman should not be entitled to any child support from the ex-husband. Woman will date a new man after a divorce and not get married for years because the woman will lose child support. A woman shouldn't be able to have a fun dating life and receive post-marital benefits simultaneously. Especially if the new boyfriend doesn't want to take responsibility for the girl's kids or show any commitment. I'm not going through this but my mom is sleeping with another dude and my dad is essentially funding it while he's broke and she's living in a 2-family home. Its not right. I've seen other cases like this. What am I missing here?
EDIT; The purpose of the law is to provide a consequence to a woman for splitting with her husband rather than getting half of his stuff and the kids custody. If a woman has to say "wait.. if I split with my husband, then if I want to fall in love again I will need to severe ties with this guy financially too" provides incentive for a wife and husband to work out their marriage issues and keep the family together. The courts don't care who is doing what to who as long as they do not hurt the child. She could be a saint or a whore, it is all formulaic. The courts look at it as a financial transaction to care for the child so the state does not have to. It would be interesting if the courts would take the new "family" dynamic into consideration when holding adults responsible for financial support, but they still hold on to the notion of mother and father.
yeah i kinda didnt fully take the child into consideration hahaha... i mean there is a case to be made that since the child is the product of the man and woman that the man should have to take responsibility for the child until it is an adult.. but I just like see these people that avoid marriage simply because the woman will lose child support and its like obviously flawed and corrupt! That shouldn't occur.. my idea here is to make woman think twice about divorcing their husband
I don't disagree. I have a lot of experience regarding your issue, but will not bore you with it. You will not get courts to solve any of it though. That said, we should find a way to make it difficult to get married and extremely painful to get divorced. With regard to the responsibility to children, we are going down a slippery slope where the ease of divorce and the lack of conscious for pro-creation and child rearing will someday eradicate the nuclear family and cause the state to assume primary responsibility. At that time the state will license a couple to have a child and award that couple (or any concocted relationship) custody until matriculation. The couple will be held accountable to raise the asset of the state in accordance to its rules and regulations. Yeah, I know, it sounds ludicrous but I was born in a decade when we never cared about politics and new world orders, only family.
