Also, liberatarianism is something that makes sense when your in college and think the world operates like book theory. It doesn't. In the same sort of way that communism works on paper but in practice it is always completely fucked up.
The "establishment libertarians" that comprise the LP are just professional contrarians who have a deep seated need to be invited to DC cocktail parties more than anything else
Considering that Constitution and what the founders envision is largely what Libertarians advocate for, I would say it is hardly an only good on paper ideology. As far as who they have elected, well help turn that around by being the right wing Libertarian, at the very least, Libertarians are so much closer to the founding of this nation than any other party out there.

The issue is that Libertarian Party has been largely ignored by everyone, as people on the right thought that they can just go with Republicans, while Republican party completely forgot and then ignored all of its established principles. LP is struggling from inviting lefties, there is an internal movement to rid of leftists as of right now.

The Libertarian Party won't work. The Patriot Party won't work. A third party needs to be called The American Party. Period. A dumb name will fail.
